Labor Force
The Region’s main economic driving force is its population. The 2000 U.S. Census reported the region had a population of over 75,000 people. Of the region’s March 2002 population, 37,929 people made the reported labor force. As per 2007 population estimates, with a total population of 93,915, 47,527 are involved in the labor force. And out of these, 44,865 are employed and 2,662 are unemployed.
